| | Today's Events | | | Worldfest Celebrity Regatta | | | 4/18/2010 | ALL DAY EVENT | | | All sailboat owners are invited to race in the World Regatta April 18 at HYC, which will conclude WorldFest, one of the country's oldest film festivals. Sign up is free, but skippers need to be at HYC by 11a.m., their boats ready to race. The competition is a three-legged race (no windward/leeward). Races go from 1-3 p.m. Motor yachts willing to host spectators are welcome as well. Call the HYC office to register your boat. After the racing, everyone is invited for complimentary barbecue and beverages from 4 to 6 p.m. Enjoy Mariachi troubadours and a chance to revel over trophies. There will also be a great photo opportunity with two of the gentlest of Texas Longhorn steers ever and a chance to check out the latest in HD/3D home entertainment with our newest sponsor HD Panasonic 3D who will bring their state-of-the art 40-foot. luxury trailer on-site with their hi-tech offerings. All skippers who sign up for the regatta will get two courtesy VIP Gold Level Passes ($790 value) to come and enjoy the film festival offerings at AMC Studio 30 Theaters for the 10-day run, April 9-18.
