I am new to the area and don't know any HYC Members. Can I still apply for Membership?
The Membership Committee will be more than happy to sponsor you as well as introduce you to HYC Members at the Member Social Hour, which is held each month.
Does one Membership include my spouse and children?
Yes, one Membership will include you, your spouse, and children up to age 26.
Can HYC Members bring guests to the Club?
Yes, Members may bring guests to the Club just so long as they are present when their guests are at the Club.
I live more than 200 miles from Houston. Do you offer Membership options based on location?
Yes, we have a Non-Resident Membership for those who permanently reside or have a primary residence outside of Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery, and Waller Counties. Non-Residents are extended all Club privileges with the exception of voting privileges and slip priority. How do I become a Member of HYC?
Simply fill out the "Contact Us" E-Form and our Membership Coordinator will contact you shortly with Membership details. The process is simple and Membership has advantages.
Do you have to be a Member of HYC to keep a boat at HYC?
Yes, only HYC Members can keep a boat at HYC. This includes both wet and dry storage.
Is there water and electricity at each slip?
Yes. Water is included at no charge; electricity is metered at each individual slip – i.e. you pay only for what you use.
Does HYC allow liveaboards?
Liveaboards are permitted at HYC subject to General Manager approval. The boat must be 30 feet in length or longer. There are no additional fees for liveaboards above dues and slip rental/electricity. No more than four people (including children) can live on the boat.
Is there Wireless Internet access in the Harbor?
Yes; and there is WiFi access in the Clubhouse as well.
Is there easy access to restrooms throughout the Harbor?
Yes, there are two newly remodeled bathhouses conveniently located on the north and south jetties. Free laundry facilities are also available in the south jetty bathhouse.
Does HYC have a Guest Pier?
Yes, Members and their guests can tie up on the guest pier if space is available. Please check with our Harbor Manager for availability.
