REGISTRATION

Useful Information

We’re so excited to finally welcome you to Houston Yacht Club for Texas Youth Race Week!

Here is some helpful information on things like- where to park trailers & leave boats, how to get a guest card, a special presentation by US Sailing and more!

First of all, the official notice board for the regatta is in the section above. This contains the NOR (with a detailed regatta schedule), Sailing Instructions (please encourage your child/children to read them). All notices during the regatta will be posted here.

When you arrive at the guard gate, let the attendant (or office staff through the call button) know you’re here for the regatta.

Dinghy, trailer, & motor boat storage - HYC MAP
Please store dinghies on lawn while you’re here. Please store dinghy trailers on the North Jetty, and motor boat trailers on the South jetty closer to the ramp (see attached map.) during the regatta.

If you’re bringing a spectator vessel to the club, please reach out to Clement for a slip for the weekend ([email protected]).

Non-ethanol fuel and ice can be purchased near the ramp with a guest member number.

Guest Cards
To get a temporary guest card, please fill out the guest card application and email it to the front desk, or call the office 281-471-1255 with your credit card details to set this up over the phone.

Extra Meal tickets and food options for guests
You’re welcome to purchase food and beverages off the regular menu with that guest card. Or you can purchase meal tickets for non-sailors for the same fare as registered competitors for $60 per person. This includes ham or turkey sandwiches for Saturday lunch, grilled or fried chicken sandwiches for Sunday lunch, poolside dinner buffet on Sunday evening with TX BBQ brisket, sausage and sides, as well as chicken minis lunch on Monday.

The extra meal wristband can be purchased in advance at this clubspot link for all classes: or by phone (281-471-1255). You can also purchase this wrisband in person during registration.

US Sailing Parent Presentation - 12pm Saturday in the Ballroom
This Q&A session will focus on opportunities in racing, college sailing, and lifelong sailing, presented by TSA-alumni Kelly Cole. Originally from Oklahoma, Kelly has campaigned the Olympic-class 49erFX, raced extensively in the ILCA and VX One classes, and worked for US Sailing as a coach and event manager at US Championship, Junior Olympic, and Olympic Development events.

We look forward to seeing you this weekend! Please email us at [email protected] and [email protected] with any questions!

Thanks so much!

Shalina Warrior & Cheryl Perdue (regatta co-chairs)
