US SAILING BASIC KEELBOAT COURSEIntroductory US Sailing accredited Basic Keelboat course.

Students learn basic sailing theory, getting started, rules of the road, boat handling, sail trim, shortening sail, seamanship skills, docking, anchoring, Person in the Water (PIW) recovery, and emergency situations

If you already know how to sail, and would like to develop additional skills:

US SAILING KEELBOAT PERFORMANCE COURSE –

This intermediate course refines your helmsmanship skills, sail trim, PIW (Person In The Water) recovery techniques, and boat handling skills necessary for racing. Better sail trim through adjusting sail and controls as wind conditions change. Specific drills to improve steering skills and boat control. Taught in J24, J29, and Etchels.

US SAILING ADVANCED KEELBOAT WITH SPINNAKER COURSE –

This class is designed for advancing sailors wanting to develop racing with spinnaker skills.Improve boat speed, upwind preparation for the spinnaker set, hoist, jibing, and takedown skills. Controlling and recovering from the broach. Spinnaker PIW (person in the water) recovery. Taught in J24, J29, and Etchells.
